Latest updates on upcoming Netflix shows

1. Squid Game Season 2

A talented set of cast members are set to continue the story of the sensational, Emmy-award-winning Squid Game. Yim Si-wan is one of the new players entering the deadly game. He’s known for his wide acting range as he has played the “green flag” type of characters in Run On and Summer Strike and a serial killer in the film Unlocked. So we can’t wait to find out what type of role he’ll be taking on this time.

Another player joining the cast is Kang Ha-neul. He starred alongside Yim Si-wan in the office drama Misaeng: Incomplete Life, and his popularity grew with rom-com K-dramas such as Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and When the Camellia Blooms.

Two other players revealed at the event are Park Sung-hoon (The Glory) and Yang Dong-guen (The Forbidden Marriage).

Meanwhile, the returning cast members include Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-Hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo. Check out our plot predictions here.

Squid Game Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2024. Stay tuned for more details.

2. One Piece

The highly anticipated live-action One Piece series has released its trailer and its promising cast. It’s a pirate adventure story based on the bestselling manga by Eiichiro Oda. He’s also an Executive Producer for this adaptation, so we do hope that the new series will stay true to the beloved story.

Iñaki Godoy will star as the teenager Luffy on the search for the One Piece treasure. His crew includes Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji.

Stream One Piece here on 31 August.

3. Emily in Paris Season 4

More fun, more fashion, and more drama. That’s what Lily Collins teased fans of the show during her segment at the Tudum 2023 event. And instead of staying in Paris, Emily might be getting a change of scenery as she’ll be heading off on a Roman holiday.

While waiting for the exact release date of the new season, get a recap of the series here.
