The series is a spin-off of the popular C-drama Hidden Love, however, it consists of a brand-new cast and carries a more emotionally heavy vibe. This time around, it centres on the perspective of Wen Yi Fan, the love interest of Sang Yan, the older brother of Sang Zhi (Zhao Lusi) in Hidden Love.
Reporter Wen Yi Fan (Zhang Ruonan) visits Jia Ban, a bar owned in part by Sang Yan (Bai Jing Ting), her high school deskmate and someone she loved in the past. There, she plans to meet her best friend, Zhong Si Qiao (Zhang Miao Yi), but unexpectedly crosses paths with Sang Yan. Both pretend not to recognise each other. However, a series of unexpected events leads them to become accidental housemates. As they navigate their new living situation, old feelings resurface, giving them a second chance at love.
