Dearest gentle reader, the ton is abuzz with news of Bridgerton Season 4’s latest arrivals. Katie Leung, known for her role as Cho Chang in the Harry Potter series, steps into the role of a tactless mama, eager to debut her daughters, played by Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei, on the marriage market.
Netflix has dropped official teaser photos of Bridgerton season 4 along with a behind-the-scenes video of the famed Bridgerton Masquerade ball featuring returning cast members, and the moment Benedict (Luke Thompson) meets Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). There is no official release date for season four of Bridgerton. Until then, here’s everything you need to know about Katie Leung’s role, the Season 4 plot, and the familiar faces returning to the ton.

Katie Leung steps into the role of Lady Araminta Gun, a twice-married, twice-widowed aristocrat determined to secure wealthy husbands for her two daughters. In the books, Araminta is described as fabulous, discerning, and blunt, with little patience for anything —or anyone— that threatens her social standing, especially when that someone is Sophie Baek, who stands in the way of her eldest daughter Rosamund’s (Michelle Mao) chances with Benedict Bridgerton.
What we can’t wait to see: Katie in her villain era, doing whatever it takes for her daughters to secure a wealthy husband.

Michelle Mao (Goosebumps) and Isabella Wei (1899, The Crow) are the latest additions to the Bridgerton Season 4 cast, playing Rosamund and Posy Li — Lady Araminta Gun’s daughters from her first marriage.
Michelle takes on the role of Rosamund, Araminta’s eldest and most treasured daughter. She will do whatever it takes to stay as her favourite daughter. Isabelle plays Posy Li, Rosamund’s younger and much kinder sister. Often dismissed by their mother for being too chatty and overly friendly, especially towards Sophie.
What we can’t wait to see: Posy stepping out of Rosamund’s shadow and Rosamund learning to break free from her mother’s expectations.

This season follows Benedict Bridgerton’s pursuit of the elusive Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek. Despite his brothers settling into married life, Benedict has no desire to do the same — until he meets a captivating masked woman at his mother’s masquerade ball. Unbeknownst to him, she is Sophie, a resourceful maid with secrets of her own.
Season four takes inspiration from the third book in the series, An Offer From a Gentleman, which is heavily influenced by the classic tale of Cinderella. And just like Cinderella, Benedict’s path to romance won’t be easy thanks to Sophie’s scheming stepmother, Lady Araminta, who is determined to see him matched with her daughter, Rosamund.
What we can’t wait to see: The famous Bridgerton masquerade ball.
Which cast members are returning for season 4?
In season three, we find out that Anthony and Kate are going to India, so what would that mean for their characters? Jonathan Bailey confirmed he would return as Anthony in season four, during a November 2024 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. He mentioned that Anthony might pop by and say hello to the family.
Netflix has confirmed that a lot of familiar faces are returning to Bridgerton season four, including Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington/Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton/Stirling), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), and Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton).
What we can’t wait to see: Anthony sharing some words of wisdom about love and marriage to Benedict.
