Are you a fan of K-dramas and NewJeans? If your answer is a resounding yes, you can enjoy both with the upcoming drama A Time Called You.
A Time Called You K-Drama OST
NewJeans has been dominating the music charts with singles like “Super Shy”, “ETA”, “Ditto”, and “Hype Boy”, but this project marks their first time participating in an original soundtrack! The song is reportedly a remake of Kim Jong Seo’s song “Beautiful Restriction” from 1996.
NewJeans is known for delivering refreshing tunes with every release, so both their fans and K-drama enthusiasts are eager to see if this will continue with their newest project.
A Time Called You K-Drama: plot and cast
But what else is in store for us with the upcoming release? A Time Called You is a time-slip romance following the story of Han Jun-hee, a woman from 2023 who desperately misses her boyfriend Gu Yeon-jun after he passes away. The grieving Jun-hee ends up travelling back in time to 1998, where she wakes up in the body of high school student Kwon Min-ju. Soon after, she meets another student named Nam Si-heon, who looks uncannily like her late boyfriend.
The show will go back and forth between 1998 and 2023, adding a hint of mystery as to how and why the time travel takes place.
If the plot sounds familiar, it’s because the drama is based on the popular Taiwanese drama Some Day or One Day. It first aired in 2019.
A Time Called You has quite the star-studded cast. Jeon Yeo-been (Vincenzo, Night in Paradise) will star as the female lead Jun Hee. Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo-seop (Dr. Romantic, Business Proposal) steps into the shoes of Si Heon. Kang Hoon (Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Little Women) will be acting as Jung In-gyu, Si-heon's best friend who has a crush on Min-ju.
