Seonhohadas and #TeamGoodBoy stans, keep an eye out for this one. K-actor Kim Seon Ho is gearing up for his big-screen debut in The Childe.
Things are finally looking up for Kim Seon Ho. The actor became the second lead favourite of many in dramas such as 100 Days My Prince and Start-Up and stole hearts as the dashing male lead of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
But his career took a hit after being involved in a false abortion claim with his ex-girlfriend. He was dropped from films and the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night, and brands quickly pulled out his ads during the height of the controversy back in 2021.
Although it might take some time before we see him in a new K-drama, the actor is gradually re-entering K-showbiz with new brand deals and a new film titled The Childe (previously known as Sad Tropics).
Kim Seon Ho to star in The Childe
Kim Seon Ho’s agency SALT Entertainment has released the film’s first official poster featuring the silhouette of the actor. The Childe is expected to be a noir film about a boxer with a Korean father who abandons him and his Filipino mother. When he grows up, he goes on a search for his father and encounters conmen along the way.
Actors Kim Kang Woo, Kang Tae Joo, and Go Ara (from Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth) will also be joining Seon Ho in the film.
It will be directed by Park Hoon Jung who was also at the helm of The Witch films.
