New K-Thriller Alert: Ji Sung And Jeon Mi Do Confirmed To Star In ‘Connection’

As early as now, the 2024 K-drama scene is looking quite promising. Marry My Husband starring Park Min-young (What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim) and Captivating The King featuring Jo Jung Suk (Hospital Playlist) — among many others — are set to premiere early next year, much to the excitement of fans around the world. And just recently, a new drama was announced starring Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do!

‘Connection’: Plot and what we know so far


Ji Sung (Innocent Defendant) and Jeon Mi Do (Hospital Playlist) are set to play the role of Jang Jae Kyung and Oh Yoon Jin, respectively, in the upcoming Korean thriller drama Connection (literal title). The story will revolve around an investigation surrounding the death of their characters’ high school friend. This friend has left behind five billion won (SGD5 million) worth of insurance



Jang Jae Kyung is a respected inspector from the Anhyun Police Station, while Oh Yoon Jin is an opinionated reporter in the social affairs department of Anhyun Economic Daily. Connection will see the reunion of Director Lee Tae Gon and writer Lee Hyun, who previously worked together for JTBC’s Diary of a Prosecutor (2019) which starred Jung Ryeo-won and Lee Sun-kyun.




Release date and where to watch


The drama will be under SBS, but no details as to where it can be watched has been released yet. However, Connection is targeted to premiere in the first half of 2024, so stay tuned for updates on when and where you can watch it in Singapore.
