Shōgun: An action-packed series
Shōgun is based on the 1975 novel of the same name by James Clavell. The story follows John Blackthorne, a skilled English navigator who gets stuck at a poor fishing village in feudal Japan and must learn how to navigate through the politics and power in the region.
Along the way, he meets Lord Yoshii Toranaga, a power-hungry figure, who must find a way to survive after his enemies on the Council of Regents team up against him. The fate of these two men is inextricably linked with their translator, Lady Toda Mariko, a Christian noblewoman who comes from a disgraced line. While on the job, she must also prove her loyalty while carrying on her duty for her late father.
