Long-time friends Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne are about to get extra intimate with each other. The besties will play onscreen lovers in the second season of the Hulu mystery-comedy show Only Murders in the Building.

Because they are friends and comfortable with each other, their scenes are “a little sparky in all the right ways”, said series creator John Hoffman to Vanity Fair.

The critically acclaimed show’s first season introduced us to three main characters: Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), a retired actor who once starred in a detective drama series; Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), a struggling broadway director; and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) an apartment renovator.

The three neighbours, who share a love for true crime, got together to create their podcast following a suspicious death in their area. The entire season follows the trio’s mishaps as they try to uncover the mystery in their neighbourhood.
Season two will introduce a new mystery and welcome Cara Delevigne’s character, Alice, who is new in the neighbourhood and is an art enthusiast.
