The heartwarming coming-of-age C-drama A Love So Beautiful is getting a Thai adaptation starring “Dew” Jirawat Sutivanichsak and “Prim” Chanikarn Tangkabodee! Here’s everything you need to know about the cast, plot, and where to stream it in Singapore.
A Love So Beautiful Thai adaptation: cast, plot, and more
In 2021, Dew played one of the main lead characters in the series F4 Thailand, Thailand’s version of Hana Yori Dango or Boys Over Flowers while Prim played a supporting role. This time around, they portray best friends-turned-lovers for the Thai adaptation of A Love So Beautiful. Similar to the original series, it revolves around a budding high school romance.
Dew takes on the charming character of Chadjen Phaisansakul who seems to possess a kinder personality compared to the OG C-drama. Meanwhile, Prim portrays the sweet female lead named “Som-O” Kewalin Asarattana.

Chadjen and Som-O lived next door to each other and grew up together. After the death of his dad and his mom relocating to a different country, Chadjen ends up living with Som-O’s family.
In high school, they become friends with Tao (“Neo” Trai Nimtawat), Khao (“Emma” Panisara Yang), and New (“Pentor” Jeerapat Pimanprom”). Together, they experience the ups and downs of growing up and finding their place in the world.
A Love So Beautiful C-drama vs. remakes
The original series starring Hu Yitian, Shen Yue, Gao Zhi Ting, Wang Zi Wei, and Sun Ning garnered high ratings when it aired in 2017. Viewers were captivated by the simple yet relatable storyline and how it explored the innocence of youth and the thrill of first love. The characters beyond the lead couple were also endearing and showcased the value of supportive friendships while navigating through life.
In 2020, a Korean adaptation of the series starring Kim Yo Han, Yeo Hoe Hyun, So Ju Yeon, and Jo Hye Joo was released on Netflix. However, it received mixed reviews. Some viewers felt that the actress who took on the lead role wasn’t fit for the role of a high schooler, and they couldn’t feel the chemistry between the leads. Others appreciated its lighthearted take on the original version and its shortened run time which helped improve the pacing of the show.
Will this new remake do the original series justice?
