It’s always a joyful occasion when well-loved Korean celebrities open their own YouTube channels. We get to see them express themselves more freely and get to know more about their hobbies and interests beyond their usual performances or schedules their agency has prepared for them.

1. Red Velvet’s Seulgi

ReVeluvs (Red Velvet fans), you’re in for a chill time because Seulgi now has her YouTube channel Hi Seulgi. In the description for her channel, she said that she’ll be using it like a diary and she’ll be filling it up with videos about various aspects of her life such as beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. The news is like a gift for her fans as the star will be celebrating her 30th birthday on 10 February.

The preview also features a snippet of her song Anywhere But Home which will give you a taste of her captivating vocals. You can also check out her newly released OST for the K-drama Doctor Slump titled In my memory.

2. EXO’s Chanyeol

EXO’s rapper Chanyeol opened his official channel in June 2023. It was a welcome break away from the legal issues that were happening between the group and their agency SM Entertainment back then. He has released various videos flowing with good vibes, with features of his bandmates Kai and Sehun as well as his cute maltipoo (Maltese poodle) Zzar.

3. LOONA’s Chuu

LOONA’s former member Chuu had already risen to popularity for her YouTube channel Chuu Can Do It. But in May 2023, she launched her official channel where she releases more music-related content such as her music videos, behind-the-scenes recordings, and a sneak peek into her first solo concert.

4. Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun

Actress, singer and OG maknae Seohyun from Girls’ Generation joined the platform in March 2023. She said that she “wanted to communicate more closely and comfortably” with her fans and vlog about her simple and special days. You’ll also find her travel adventures in places such as Guam and Hawaii. Her latest vlog also features fellow members Sooyoung and Hyoyeon.
