"Squid Game’s" Jung Ho-Yeon Has The Best IG Moments, Here’s Proof

Her grid game is strong!

Squid Game is without a doubt one of 2021’s biggest TV series hits. One of its breakout stars is Jung Ho-Yeon a.k.a. Player 067 Kang Sae-Byeok. The 27-year-old model-turned-actress is now South Korea’s most-followed actress on Instagram with 13 million followers as of writing. Prior to the release of the show, she had around 400,000 followers. Talk about a massive leap!

While her character didn’t end up triumphant in the games, Jung Ho-yeon’s current Instagram numbers prove that she definitely won the hearts of the audiences. So to celebrate South Korea’s reigning IG queen, here are some of Jung Ho-Yeon’s best Instagram moments.

Her Squid Game behind-the-scenes photo with BLACKPINK’s Jennie

In an interview with Herald POP, Jung Ho-Yeon revealed that she and BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim are actually long time friends. In fact, she said that Jennie was one of the first to hear about Jung Ho-Yeon’s Squid Game casting. Ho-Yeon also revealed that Jennie was delighted when she heard the news that during the filming period, Jennie sent her a coffee truck to show support, something pretty common among South Korean celebrities who are friends — they send each other gifts like this to show support . We’re all for queens supporting each other!

They may be competitors onscreen, but Jung Ho-Yeon, Lee Jung-Jae (467/Seong Gi-Hun) and Park Hae-Soo (218/Cho Sang-Woo) are actually in good terms in real-life as seen on these behind-the-scenes photos posted on Ho-Yeon’s grid. It’s quite refreshing to see the cast looking all smiles after the emotional rollercoaster the series brought us in.

This Kang Sae-Byeok fan art

We can only imagine how overwhelming it must be to skyrocket to fame as quickly as the Squid Game cast. That’s why we really find it cute that Jung Ho-Yeon took the time to post a fan art of her character made by user @djuney9 on her Instagram account. Ho-Yeon captioned the photo with the ‘folded hands’ emoji, which is a symbol of thanks or praise in East Asian culture.

Model Ho-Yeon just working it

Before she donned green jumpsuits as player 067, Jung Ho-Yeon was usually seen in high-fashion ensembles from brands like Louis Vuitton, Celine, and more. She was already walking runways at the age of 16 and had an early career boost when she joined Korea’s Next Top Model in 2013. Her Instagram grid is full of her modelling moments and this particular photo set showing both her edgy and feminine sides is definitely one of our faves.

Long hair + chic off-duty look

While we’re totally in love with the messy bob Jung Ho-Yeon sports on the show, we immediately fell head over heels for her long hair when we saw her 2020 posts. She’s totally owning this ‘tattersall plaid long coat and her flared denim jeans’ ensemble too.

After leaving a lasting impression as player 067, we can’t wait to see which role Jung Ho-Yeon will do next. But for now, we’ll continue lurking on her Instagram page.
