When Friends hit the screens for the first time in 1994, pop culture-related merchandise weren’t much of a thing yet compared to now. So if you’ve been a long-time fan of the series who wished to see its witty one-liners on a T-shirt, now’s your time as official Friends merch is finally being released. Courtney Cox (who played Monica Geller in the show) also pledged half of her proceeds from this drop to the Los Angeles-based organisation Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research (EBMRF), a charity raising awareness and funding a cure for genetic skin disorder Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Rihanna is now a billionaire




Following the release of Fenty Beauty’s first fragrance comes the news that Rihanna is now a billionaire. Her net worth is reportedly at USD1.7 billion as of writing, with cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty and lingerie line Savage x Fenty both at a billion valuation.


BLACKPINK-themed makeup and gear are coming to PUBG: Battlegrounds




In-game beauty and fashion now a major thing for gaming enthusiasts and casual hobbyists alike. The latest to hop on this trend is PUBG: Battlegrounds which will release BLACKPINK-themed makeup and gear collection for its users. Maps, as well as other in-game elements, will be updated with BLACKPINK-related symbols from 8 August to 15 September for both PC and consoles.


MYË makes workout clothes from water bottles




Singapore-based sustainable brand MYË releases its first line of workout clothes made from water bottles. The brand’s sports bras, leggings, and shorts are made exclusively from 100% post-consumer recycled PET plastic. The brand also claims that using the material requires 60% less energy, 94% less water, and 32% less carbon dioxide than virgin polyester, which is more commonly used in activewear. Kotex has partnered with lifestyle brand kai by bellywellyjelly founded by Singaporean content creator and entrepreneur Christabel Chua for its Unstoppable campaign. Its aim? To empower women to go for their goals and not let anything, including period-related stigma, get in their way. The promo runs as follows: for every SGD18 worth of Kotex Luxe products, you get the collectibles (a water tumbler and two-piece sticker pack valued at SGD38.80) for free. The campaign is now available in Singapore until 15 September (or until supplies last).

The Crown finally releases new teasers for Season 5



The Crown fans, rejoice! After the explosive Princess Diana arc from the previous season, we’re hitting a new era in The Crown’s plot after the introduction of a new set of actors for Season 5. Imelda Staunton (best known for her role as Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter movies) is the new Queen Elizabeth II, taking over from Olivia Colman. Joining her is Jonathan Pryce (Game Of Thrones) who will take the role of Prince Philip from Tobias Menzies, as well as Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager) as Princess Diana, replacing Emma Corrin. Season 5 serves as the final instalment of the series and will air on Netflix in 2022.


Taylor Swift releases teasers about Red: Taylor’s Version




19 November is a special day for Swifties as it marks Taylor Swift’s re-release of the 2012 hit album Red. The re-release of her previous albums are a result of her rights feud with her former music producer Scooter Braun. This week, the multi-award Grammy awardee launched the official site for Red: Taylor’s Version, with a fill-in-the-blanks page that cues in the track titles to be included in this release.
