There’s the new look of Bae Suzy’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore and a couple of beauty releases including Estée Lauder x Disney Collaboration, Jo Malone’s online shop and more. Curious to know more? Keep reading for the deets on these hottest drops.

Bae Suzy gets a new look at Madame Tussauds Singapore

Bae Suzy’s wax figure is sporting a new outfit. The old white halter dress has been replaced with a piece that’s inspired by the ensemble the actress wore at the press conference of her 2019 movie Ashfall, a luxurious-looking blue a-line dress made with silk-like fabric. The replica is almost exactly the same except for the Christian Dior belt which was traded for a non-branded version. Madame Tussauds Singapore General Manager Alex Ward shares that they’re happy to give the Bae Suzy carving a fresh look, seeing as it’s also one of the most popular was figures in the museum.

Aside from this exciting outfit update, there are also other new thrills available at the museum including a fun “selfie game” where you can win exclusive prizes worth up to SGD20 courtesy of Shiseido. To join, all you have to do is follow Madame Tussauds Singapore on Instagram, use the Bae Suzy filter and show the results to the staff. If you’re looking for something exciting to do this weekend, consider giving Bae Suzy a visit.

And Just Like That… to drop this December

It’s really happening! After much teasing and speculations, the Sex And The City sequel finally gets a release date. And Just Like That… season 1 is slated to premiere on HBO this December just in time for the holiday season. Like the original series, this follow-up will revolve around friends navigating love and life. Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte (unfortunately, no Samantha), now in their 50s, are facing new challenges and even more complicated realities as middle-aged women. Other confirmed cast members to watch out for are Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker among others. If you’ve been wanting to know who stayed with whom and what happened after the events of Sex And The City, don’t forget to add this upcoming series to your list.

Estée Lauder x Disney Collaboration

Here’s a beauty update Disney fans shouldn’t miss. Estée Lauder is about to debut a collection of bejewelled pressed powder compacts and solid perfumes featuring designs inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The collection will include compacts that feature the silhouettes of Disney’s most iconic characters while others will be adorned with easily recognisable symbols like Minnie’s adorable pink ribbon. Dubbed “Magic of Mickey”, this upcoming launch is said to celebrate the “joy and wonder” associated with the Disney brand.

Can’t wait to get your hands on these? You better mark your calendars because the Estée Lauder x Disney Magic of Mickey will only be available in limited quantities and will exclusively be available in Singapore at Estée Lauder Marina Bay Sands from 1 November until stocks lasts.

Shiseido’s AQUA LABEL launches new range

Shiseido’s AQUA LABEL is introducing Aqua Wellness, a new range that will cater to the new demands of skincare consumers. In a study conducted by Shiseido, they found that since the pandemic, people have become more health conscious. This newfound awareness extends to skincare choices; meaning customers are now more inclined to check a product’s ingredients list when deciding if an item is the right fit for them.

With this in mind, Aqua Wellness was developed. The four products in this range — Aqua Lotion Moist, Aqua Lotion Rich Moist, Aqua Milk, Multi Aqua Balm —  are deliberately made to be simple and straightforward. At the heart of the formula is the nourishing fermented camellia seed extract which is known for its hydrating properties. There’s no announcement on when this range will reach our shores so stay tuned for updates.
