South Korean Netflix zombie drama All of Us Are Dead has been crowned the top series on Netflix’s Global Top 10! The horror series, which premiered on 28 January, is also the third K-drama to top the list, following Squid Game and Hellbound. Park Solomon as Lee Su-Hyeok
22-year-old Park Solomon, who’s also known as Ji-Hu, plays the lead character Lee Soo-Hyuk. The rising actor has starred in a number of shows, including the Chinese drama Lookism and K-drama Sweet Revenge. He graduated from Apjugeong High School, which also counts TWICE’s Na-Yeon and actor Kwon Hyun-Bin as alumni.
Can’t wait to catch him onscreen again? Sit tight as the actor is set to star alongside actress Shin Ye-Eun (He Is Psychometric) in Third Person Revenge, a crime thriller drama that will premiere on Disney+.
Yoon Chan-Young as Lee Chung-San
Next on the list is 20-year-old Yoon Chan-Young, who plays Lee Chung-San. He is a graduate of Hanyang Univesity and has been acting since 2013. He has also held roles in other notable K-dramas and movies, including Do You Like Brahms? and Doctor John.
Park Ji-Hoo as Nam On-Jo
Moving onto the main female cast, we have Park Ji-Hoo. Similar to castmate Yoon Chan-Young, the 18-year-old is also from Hanyang University and is set to graduate in February. She is best known for starring in the indie feature film House of Hummingbird.
A report by Kdramastars revealed that Park Ji-Hoo will take on a supporting role in the upcoming movie Concrete Utopia. The film began filming last April and stars a stellar cast comprising Park Seo-Joon, Park Bo-Young and Lee Byung-Hun.
Lee Yoo-Mi as Na-Yeon
Kang Se-Byeok’s BFF, is that you? Indeed, actress Lee Yoo-Mi, who was player 240 Ji-Yeong in Squid Game, is part of the main cast of this series as well. The 27-year-old actress was also recently revealed as one of the faces of Italian fashion brand Miu Miu’s Spring 2022 campaign.
According to SCMP, Yoo-Mi is friends with Hani from K-pop girl group EXID. She also beat over a thousand auditioners to land a role in the 2021 actor-thriller film Hostage: Missing Celebrity.
Cho Yi-Hyun as Nam Ra
22-year-old Cho Yi-Hyun may also be recognisable among K-drama fans as she played a supporting role in the popular Netflix K-drama Hospital Playlist. The actress made her acting debut in 2017 and also held a lead role in the coming-of-age K-drama School 2021. She is currently signed with Artist Company, the talent agency that is founded by Squid Game star Lee Jung-Jae.
What is ‘All Of Us Are Dead’ about?
The 12-episode series is based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Joo Dong-geun. It tells the story of students who are trapped in a high school amidst a zombie virus outbreak. The students decide to fight against the zombies in ways that they can whilst trying to find a way out of the school.
