Here's How To Match Sunnies Face Play Paints With Your OOTD

Perfect paint job!

Filipino beauty brand Sunnies Face has just added to their range of pretty lipsticks and airy blushes. Meet their newest products: Play Paints. The latest release offers 15 creamy, colourful nail polish shades you could wear any day of the week, on any occasion. The polishes have a quick-dry, vegan- and cruelty-free formula that is also 10-free, which means they're formulated without 10 unwanted and harmful ingredients found in most nail polishes.

The brand has gained a following internationally, especially after their collab with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Rose Inc., so there’s a lot of clamour for the Play Paints, which were released online and in-store today. We're just as piqued, so ahead, our favourite hues from the collection how we’d style them with our everyday outfits.

Pastel Phase

Our Fashion Features Writer Sheryl has her eyes on the soft lilac of Taro. “Not much of a mani/pedi kinda girl but their pretty Taro shade is giving me second thoughts! I'm still very much in my pastel outfits phase so this lovely lavender shade will complement my sartorial choices perfectly."  So IRL, she’d pair her Taro-painted nails with this washed-out plaid blue blazer and pants co-ord outfit from Pomelo for a subtle attempt at colour-blocking.

Amped Up Classic

“A bright hue can be too bold for the office and too sultry for my otherwise casual-meets-edgy aesthetic.” So to fit our Senior Features Writer Amanda's personal style, it’s all about the Sugar Plum shade with its muted mauve tone. “I'd personally pair this with a denim-on-denim ensemble with a boxy shirt under my jean jacket and some boots to finish off the look." We love the idea of a classic-on-classic outfit!

Nailing The Nudes

Aside from the pastels, they also have nude hues for understated gals. Senior Features Writer Therese favours the peachy coral nude of the Palm Springs for its versatility. “I really can’t be bothered with changing lacquer more than twice a week. So I look for muted tones that will go well with just about anything,” she says. “Sunnies’ Palm Springs fits this bill. It’s a perfect classy mauve that complements any outfit — even my super casual weekend ensemble of a camisole top and maxi skirt. I love how it gives an air sophistication to a relaxed look!”

Poppin’ Red

If you like monochromatic ensembles but want to add a pop of colour to your outfits, our Features Writer Em recommends Lady Bug’s classic red. “Sometimes, I worry that I look too plain with my go-to black and white outfits. I’d add a subtle pop of colour with the dark rust hue of Lady Bug," she says. "I'd love to wear it with my current obsession: puffy-sleeved tops paired with wide-leg pants and some strappy heels."

Check out the other shades of the Play Paints in Sunnies Face stores, website and Lazada, available individually for PHP245/~USD4.83 and as an online-exclusive set for PHP3,995/~USD78.69.
