So much to look forward to

October is here! Time surely flies when we’re hustling so let this serve as your weekly reminder to sit back, relax, and catch up on your fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. We’ve got news on Marvel and Urban Decay’s collaboration, Kylie Swim reviews, and Tale Of The Nine Tailed’s second and third seasons so what are you waiting for? Scroll on!

Tale Of The Nine-Tailed is getting second and third seasons

If you loved oppas Lee Dong-Wook and Kim Bum playing gumiho brothers in the K-drama Tale Of The Nine-Tailed, then you’d be psyched to know that second and third seasons for the show have already been confirmed. Both will take the form of prequels, with the second season set during the Japanese colonial period and the third being a “fusion historical drama set in the Joseon period”. Unfortunately, Jo Bo-Ah who played the female lead in the first season will not reprise her role in both upcoming seasons for unknown reasons. No announcements have been made regarding the release date but watch this space once the news breaks, okay?

Urban Decay x Marvel’s The Eternals collection is coming

Pop culture-inspired makeup collections like Urban Decay and Marvel’s upcoming release are always worth the excitement. The range is made in anticipation of The Eternals’ U.S. premiere on 5 November. It includes an eyeshadow palette (USD65), eyeliners (USD22), lipsticks (USD22), and multi-use glitter gels (USD26) in metallic and pearly colours referencing the looks of the heroes in the film. The range will be available in our region starting 7 October via in-store and via Sephora for Singapore and Malaysia and through Sephora SG for the Philippines.

Kylie Swim reviews are in

Kylie Jenner’s swimwear line, Kylie Swim, is now available and… people have a lot to say about it. Most of the comments are criticising the brand’s alleged poor quality, saying that it was prone to “wardrobe malfunctions” and that the fabric is “so thin”, “see-through” and not wearable in public. Kylie Swim’s team has yet to address the growing issue. We can only hope that Kylie’s other new venture, Kylie Baby, will receive better reviews than this one.

Kipling and Singapore Council of Women's Organizations (SCWO) advocates for upcycling in new release

Kipling recently announced their latest take on “reimagining design, rethinking materials, repurposing energy, and reconnecting to people and the planet.” One of their newest releases following this direction is the K.Limited Collection, a bag range made from leftover stocks. In collaboration with Singapore Council of Women's Organizations (SCWO), Kipling is also collecting pre-loved bags to upcycle in support of victims of domestic violence. Each donation will merit a SGD50 Kipling voucher. This drive will run until 31 October 2021.
