We Unpack The Coolest Updates Coming To Samsung’s Galaxy Smartphones & Earbuds

Smarter, easier, and slimmer

It’s Samsung Unpacked season again! TheBeauLife previewed some of the coolest features and updates from the brand’s latest device lineup before its Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris. Buckle up as we highlight the notable upgrades in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones, the Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro earbuds, along with details on how to get them in Singapore.

Galaxy AI is about to get bigger — and progressively better

Samsung Galaxy AI is here to enhance our lives with productivity features.

AI, or Artificial Intelligence, has dramatically transformed how we work and live. Samsung is doubling down on its AI-powered features to deliver “a more intuitive and connected experience” for users, following the grand unveiling of Galaxy AI earlier this year. These features will be accessible on key devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The arrival of the two smartphones also makes them the slimmest and lightest Galaxy Z series ever.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: Productivity is key

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is slimmer, lighter, and packed with Galaxy AI features.

Is it a tablet? Or is it a laptop? No, it’s the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This foldable smartphone has levelled up its productivity capabilities with Notes Assist, featuring a new transcript feature. Beyond this, we’re curious to know what excites you the most out of these 4 key takeaways.

1. Note-taking gets even easier

Picture yourself as a foreign exchange student spending a semester at Yonsei Univerity (IYKYK.) With Notes Assist, you can easily transcribe, translate and summarise your lecturers’ voice recordings without needing help from a Korean classmate. Or was that your intention? I’ll leave you to sort out your needs.

You also won't need multiple screenshots of important PDFs too, as the PDF overlay translation feature is designed to translate and overlay texts in PDF files. The new Composer feature also generates suggested text based on simple keywords for email and supported social media apps.

2. Pull info together in just a few taps

#ICYDK, Samsung partners with Google, so your AI-powered assistant is the Google Gemini app. Just utter, “Hey Google” to connect to other Google apps and easily gather information, such as learning the name of a cute K-pop boy band member after catching him in one of the group’s music videos on YouTube.

Here’s how: Long press the home button, circle the subject (in this case, the cute boy), highlight, or tap on your screen. The device will launch Circle to Search, offering instant results.

3. Converse with confidence

Bringing us one step closer to ending awkward language barriers (we hope) is the Interpreter feature, which is now enhanced with a conversation mode that’s supported by the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s dual screen. Both parties can now conveniently view translations on the main and cover screens.

Here’s how: Hold the Galaxy Z Fold 6 like a Nintendo Switch (along the longer side). Pose your question in your language with the main screen facing you, tap to record your voice, and watch as the device translates into your preferred language.

The other party sees the translation in real-time on the cover screen and can respond the same way. Use this for one-way translations, or tap the Live Translate feature for phone call translations.

4. Have fun with your creations and experiences

Sunnies up! The ‘Sketch to image’ feature generates image options based on your sketches or photos.

Samsung also has Sketch to image, a new feature that generates image options from sketches or drawings on your photos in the Gallery or Note screen. Try this with an S Pen for more detailed illustrations, or your finger for fun. We tried it and the results are pretty amusing. We saw a guest easily add a beret illustration to her selfie.

Other creative features include Photo Assist for advanced editing, Portrait Studio for various portrait styles (similar to fun TikTok filters), and Instant Slow Mo for adding dramatic frames to videos.

Gamers will appreciate the 1.6x larger vapor chamber for longer gaming sessions and Ray Tracing for brighter displays, vivid graphics and a more immersive experience.

Peep the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone with an enhanced FlexWindow.

This '90s-inspired phone design made one of the most successful comebacks in recent years — agree? With Galaxy AI, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s FlexWindow has been further enhanced so that you can now access AI-assisted functions without even having to open this stylish smartphone device.

Flex your FlexWindow features
