The technique is growing in popularity and has garnered over 7.6 million views on TikTok.
Model Cheekbones Trend: How To Do It
Makeup artist Sarah (Sarah’s Super Spa) was the first to share the viral tip with her followers.
She starts out her video by presenting the wrong way beauty enthusiasts have learned to contour. She says that the way we’re taught to place the contour really high up is ineffective.
The makeup artist then notes that to achieve the contoured look effectively, we should place the product under the cheekbone and also put it at the side of the jaw. (We recommend using Fenty Beauty’s Match Stix Shades.) Then you should pat it into the cheekbone downwards until it creates a shadow underneath the cheekbone and until that coveted V-shaped jawline appears.

Sarah also adds to make the contour pop is to add highlighter (check out Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter) or concealer (such as the Clinique Even Better All-Over Concealer) above the application to make the cheekbone pop.
