Grab your family, friends and neighbours and get ready to explore the city because Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 (TEL3) will open on 11 November.

The TEL3 stations are made up of 91 new, fully automated four-car TEL trains that come with more doors for faster boarding. The line boasts in its green features like in-built solar panels and skylights.
The line also offers more caring and inclusive features whenever you commute with children and senior family members. Outram Park station has a Baby Care Room, Family Washroom and Heart Zone, a place for commuters to help other commuters.
Thomson East Coast Line 3: Opening Day Event
Singapore’s Land Transport Authority has prepared various ways to celebrate TEL3’s opening day such as prizes and deals which you can win through the carnival booths and games. There will also be a photo exhibition that celebrates the unsung and unseen frontliners of Singapore during the pandemic and an interactive experience in which you can be a Train Captain and try the TEL Train Simulator.
Exclusive merchandise will be available from the Knackstop pop-up store. It will offer playful, quirky and practical keepsakes inspired by land transport and will be located at the Orchard station.
You can also catch stage performances, appearances from the popular Thoughtful Bunch mascots, and a line-up of celebrity hosts.
Aside from the TEL3 activities, you can go on a food trail and find your favourite (or new) places to eat.
TEL3 will officially open for passenger service on 13 November 2022.
