Get ready to be in awe of nature’s wonderful creatures because the new Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve is opening soon.
Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve Singapore
Get ready to feast your eyes on some of the world’s most brilliantly coloured birds and be surrounded by rich greenery and lovely flowers.
Bird Paradise will have its soft opening in May, and its 3,500 birds from over 400 species are currently adjusting to their new home. The birds previously stayed at Jurong Bird Park but are now settling in Mandai (which is all set to become Singapore’s eco-tourism hub).
Some zones to check out are the Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove, the Kuok Group Wings of Asia, and the Hong Leong Foundation Crimson Wetlands. You can also meet the world’s most threatened species such as Philippine Eagles, Negros Bleeding-heart Doves, Straw-headed Bulbuls, Black-winged Mynas, and Blue-throated Macaws.
Aside from visiting the birds and learning about their stories, there’s a variety of activities you can do with your friends and family at the park. You can get up close and personal by feeding birds such as pelicans, songbirds, and more or visit the Avian Hospital. You can also opt to appreciate them from a distance at the park’s presentations showcasing the talents of the birds and their trainers.
