BLACKPINK is on a roll — the K-pop stars are teaming up with adidas for a collaboration that’s expected to be released soon.
BLACKPINK x adidas 2023 collaboration
After a leaked photo of the girls wearing adidas from head to toe surfaced online, the official Twitter account of adidas Originals Korea confirmed the upcoming collaboration. Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo were seen wearing popular footwear like the adidas Superstar and Forum alongside apparel pieces featuring the brand’s signature three stripes.

Previous BLACKPINK x adidas campaigns
adidas first partnered with BLACKPINK in January 2020 for the "Change Is a Team Sport" campaign. The quartet composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa appeared alongside celebrated personalities such as Ninja, Kerwin Frost, Blackpink, Pharrell Williams, Yara Shahidi, Anitta, Jenn Soto, Mariah Duran, Mark Gonzales, Blondey, Tyshawn Jones, Liz Cambage, Pogba, Nigo, Jackson Wang, Chris Severn, Mette Towley, Tracy McGrady, Anna Isoniemi, and Jonah Hill to showcase the iconic Superstar shoe and adidas sportswear.
However, the partnership caused controversy when some Blinks (fans of BLACKPINK) noticed that Jisoo received less exposure than the other three members. The hashtag #AdidasTreatJisooBetter was created by fans to express their displeasure.
In March 2021, the girl band supported adidas again for another campaign called “Watch Us Move” and also introduced the R.Y.V. (Raise Your Voice) collection which consists of track pants, bra top, gym bag and more.
While details on the upcoming adidas project with BLACKPINK are still sparse, we’re hoping it will feature shoe silhouettes and sports apparel that showcase the K-pop group’s edgy and feminine aesthetic.
