Some days just make you wish that you could be surrounded by lush trees and greens in a snap. Japanese-inspired luxury beauty brand Tatcha set off to do just that and bottled up the soothing scents and healing benefits of nature with its Forest Awakening Body Collection.
Tatcha Forest Awakening Body Collection
The Tatcha Forest Awakening Body Collection is inspired by a common treatment prescribed by Japanese physicians known as ‘shinrin-yoku’ meaning forest bathing. It involves immersing your five senses in the forest and meditating there. You spend time soaking in the trees’ energy and benefiting from their immunity and mood-boosting powers.
According to the brand, research shows that over 50% of the benefits of forest bathing come from breathing the forest air, which is rich in phytoncides — organic compounds emitted by trees’ essential oils to ward off mould, bacteria, and insects. These are also proven to boost immune function, decrease stress, improve sleep, and lower blood pressure. It all sounds so tempting and makes us wish we could pack our bags and head off to that place right now!
Aside from these phytoncides, Tatcha infused its new collection with other skincare ingredients including the woodsy, citrusy scent of hinoki trees to help calm your mind while you care for your skin. It offers a way to press the pause button in our lives and allow ourselves to relax when we feel like we’re being overrun by burnout in our lives.
The Tatcha Hinoki Body Milk (SGD95 per 132ML) is a lightweight lotion that replenishes dry skin with squalane and peach tree extract to pave the way for moisturised, soft, and supple skin.
The Tatcha Hinoki Body Oil (SGD79 per 100ML) is a non-greasy body oil that seals in moisture and softens rough patches while providing mood-lifting benefits.
