5 Bold & Bizarre Beauty Trends Spotted At Paris Couture Week

Take notes!

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week officially concludes today. Before we bid goodbye to the exquisite creations shown by the likes of Valentino, Jean Paul Gaultier and more, let’s take a look at five bold and bizarre beauty looks that we’ve spotted on the runway and in the front row.

Dramatic graphic winged eye on Julia Fox

Julia Fox went with a dramatic winged eye when she attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture fashion show with her new beau Kanye West. The Uncut Gems actress’ makeup look went viral after she posted an Instagram story of Ye applying the eyeliner on her lids. Her story included the caption “[Want to know] who my fave makeup artist is?”, which led fans to believe that her makeup was done by Ye.

However, her makeup was actually designed by makeup maestro Pat McGrath. The beauty veteran also revealed the list of products that makeup artist Daniel Kolaric used to create Julia’s look. Whether we love or hate Julia’s makeup, there’s no doubt that she has successfully attracted our attention!

Studded green liner on Chiara Ferragni

Chiara Ferragni attended the Christian Dior Haute Couture show in a bright green jacket and skirt suit from the fashion house. Beauty-wise, the Italian fashion influencer and entrepreneur wore her hair back in a sleek ponytail braid and rocked glittery green eyeliner.

Chiara’s longtime makeup artist Manuele Mameli provided the look with even more depth and drama by adding tiny crystal looking studs on the eyeliner and on the bottom centre of her eyes. Then, he gave Chiara’s lashes a few generous coats of black mascara and finished the look with peach-coloured lips and cheeks.

Feathery lashes at Valentino

Valentino took the term ‘feathery lashes’ quite literally at its Haute Couture show and the results are nothing short of stunning. While most of the female models sported a classic cat-eye, a selected few had their eyes dressed in a single black feather on each side. This ethereal look was also created by Pat McGrath.

Sleek straight tendrils on Jaime Xie

Bling Empire’s Jaime Xie is known for her love of high fashion. The Chinese-American socialite attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show as well and made a major beauty statement with her sleek straight tendrils. She kept the rest of her hair in a sky-high bun and went with shimmery gold lids. Who’s on board with the return of this ‘90s hair trend?

Matte white undereye at Christian Dior

It looks like the reverse cateye is here to stay! Christian Dior Makeup’s Creative and Image Director Peter Philips and his team lined the models’ under eyes with a white felt-tip eyeliner. Then, the look was accentuated further using a white kohl liner. The rest of the models’ faces were kept as understated looking as possible to focus on the attention on the eyes.
