The inspiration behind Reebok x The Jetsons and Flintstones collaboration collection

The two iconic cartoon families came together for the first time in the 1987 crossover animated film The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones. In the two-hour made-for-television movie, the Jetsons who are living in 2062 accidentally travel back to the Stone Age and meet The Flintstones. Meanwhile, self-aware robots from The Jetsons’ timeline try to return the family to the future but mistakenly bring back The Flintstones instead.

The mishmash of the past and future in the film is the main inspiration for the Reebok x The Jetsons and Flintstones collection where nostalgic details are seamlessly mixed with modern elements.

What’s part of the Reebok x The Jetsons and Flintstones collaboration

Eight iconic Reebok shoe silhouettes are redressed with The Jetsons and The Flintstones motifs. This includes beloved designs such as the Classic Leather (USD100/~SGD135.42), which dons a print inspired by Fred’s orange and black clothing and the Classic Leather Legacy AZ (USD110/~SGD148.96), which features the futuristic style of George Jetson complete with metallic accents and on/off switches.

More bold pieces are also available, including the Zig Kinetica II Edge (USD150/~SGD203.13), which takes a cue from The Flintstones’ pet Dino; the Instapump Fury 94 (USD200/~SGD270.87), which boasts a combination of animal prints and furs and futuristic iridescent details, and the Zig Kinetica II (USD140/~USD189.59) that’s meant to be reminiscent of floating alien, The Great Gazoo.

Feminine designs are showcased via the tennis sneakers Club C (USD100/~SGD135.42) and Club C Legacy (USD100/~SGD135.42), which are clad in white and pink tones inspired by the dresses of Wilma Flintstone and Jane Jetson.

Aside from the footwear collection, Reebok x The Jetsons and Flintstones collaboration collection will also offer casual apparel and women’s athletic wear like leggings and sports bras.

Where to buy in Singapore

The Reebok x The Jetsons & Flintstones collection will be available globally starting 8 April. However, Reebok UNLOCKED members can buy the pieces exclusively on the brand’s website starting 5 April.
