May day feels

Just like that, we’re officially in the fifth month of 2020. The past few months have been eventful, to say the least. But things are starting to look up in different ways. In the beauty world, we have a new makeup tutorial from Rihanna herself as well as KOSÉ SEKKISEI's sunscreens Lazada launch. Bata Group rounds it off by making a donation to frontliners and their families. Interested to know more? Read on.

BLACKPINK is confirmed to make a comeback next month

Rumours about a new BLACKPINK album spread in March and it’s finally official: Blinks can look forward to seeing the girls back on stage this coming June. YG Entertainment responded to a report about the girl group’s recently recorded album to confirm the comeback. There’s no official date yet but it’s most likely to be in early- to mid-June. YG promises that the fans will be the first to know when they’ll see their idols perform again. We can’t wait!

Protect your skin with KOSÉ SEKKISEI’s next-generation sunscreens

Next, don’t forget sun protection. Sunscreen is still an important part of skincare, especially for those who spend most of their time in front of a computer screen. Luckily, KOSÉ SEKKISEI further improved their sunscreen formulations to provide more coverage. The gentle but powerful sunscreen is formulated with 80 per cent moisturising serum for added comfort. It will be available on Lazada starting 15 May.

Hercules is getting a live-action remake

We’re ready to see Hercules turn from a zero to a hero in the upcoming live-action remake! The Russo brothers (yes, of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame notoriety) are set to produce and they’ve tapped Expendables writer David Callahan to bring the 1997 animated classic to life. Ever since the announcement, Twitter has been flooded with casting requests. Everyone seems to be in agreement that whoever gets chosen to play the Muses can make or break the film. In the meantime, we’ll keep replaying Ariana Grande’s rendition of “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” from the movie.

Glow like Rihanna with this summer-inspired makeup tutorial

Get that sunkissed glow like RiRi by following the makeup tutorial above. Using all Fenty Beauty products (of course), RiRi turned up the summer glow with Fenty’s new CHEEKS OUT Cream Blushes and Cream Bronzers. In her calm, easy-going voice, Rihanna shows how you can use brushes or your fingers, as well as multiple shades, to create the perfect summer look.

Bata donates 1 million pairs of shoes to frontliners

One of the world’s leading shoemakers, Bata, donated one million pairs of shoes to frontliners and their families. The recipients include health care workers, volunteers, and their families, who have been showing “admirable courage and dedication” every day according to Bata. This is in addition to the brand’s Bata Heroes initiative that provides assistance to countries like India, Czech Republic, and Bangladesh amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
