Haus Laboratories by Lady Gaga
Launched in 2019, Haus Laboratories (or you can also call it Haus Labs for short) is proud to be a vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand that wants you to “love yourself” and vows to "spread kindness, bravery, and creativity by providing tools for self-expression and reinvention”. The Lady Gaga-led beauty label first launched with three products (liquid eyeshadow, lip liner and lip gloss) in six shades. But most recently, the brand caused a buzz with its Italian Glamour collection which is a nod to the founder’s heritage.
Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez
Created with the belief that beauty is rooted in self-acceptance of unique imperfections, Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty is all about producing beauty products that enhance and highlight your favourite features as opposed to hiding perceived flaws. Despite being a young label, the brand has already released an array of bestsellers including the Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara, the Rare Beauty Discovery Eyeshadow Palette – Came To Play and more. Beyond spreading the message of self-acceptance through her brand’s products, Selena also created the Rare Impact Fund where she pledges to use 1% of annual sales to make mental health more accessible. Advocacy through beauty!
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is perhaps one of the most coveted celebrity makeup lines in the market. The brand made waves in the beauty industry when it released a wide range of shades for its Pro Filt'R Foundation — 50, to be exact — which was a rarity at the time. Since then, Fenty Beauty has released one hyped product after another like the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, Stunna Lip Paint, and Killawatt Highlighter.
Keys Soulcare by Alicia Keys
Whether you’re a beauty lover or not, you may have heard about how Alicia Keys decided to go makeup-less in 2016. In 2020, she launched her own skincare brand, Keys Soulcare. It’s a line that’s inspired by ancient beauty rituals and incorporates “time-honoured minerals and botanicals” in its products but is formulated with modern technology by a dermatologist. Some fan-favourite products are Golden Cleanser With Manuka Honey and Promise Serum With Niacinamide.
