There’s still two months to go until Emily In Paris season two premieres, but fans of the Netflix show are gonna have an early treat in the form of an exciting beauty collaboration: Lancôme x Emily In Paris collection. While this beauty drop is a pleasant surprise, to say that it’s completely out of the blue would not be accurate considering that Lily Collins, the actress who plays the show’s protagonist, has been Lancôme’s ambassador for seven years now. So it was only a matter of time before a Lancôme collab collection featuring Lily Collins hit the beauty market. Curious to know more about this adorable beauty release? Here’s everything we know so far.

What you need to know about the collection

Hints about the collection started popping up earlier this week. First, Lancôme teased us on Instagram with a little hint of what’s to come. The brand posted a photo of a fuzzy heart-shaped keychain with an Eiffel Tower charm. Emily In Paris viewers would immediately recognise it as Emily Coopers’ ringarde (a.k.a. tacky and basic) keychain that a fictional fashion designer chastised her for in one episode. Instead of being ashamed of her personal taste, Emily kept on flaunting her style and it eventually became a look. That playful aesthetic’s influence is definitely apparent in the Lancôme x Emily In Paris collection which was actually inspired by the makeup used on set.

The unveiled collection is just as charming as you’d expect. You’ll spot familiar favourites like Advanced Génifique Serum (SGD180) adorned with Paris-inspired graphics.

But it’s the new makeup products that will surely catch your eye. The hero product is the For The Love of Paris Eyeshadow Palette (SGD120) which is encased in a shiny heart-shaped packaging that’s decorated with the Eiffel Tower and the Netflix show’s branding. Open it and you’ll be greeted with 12 eyeshadows grouped into three categories: Born In France (brown shades),  Paris A La Folie (shimmery moody shades), and Parisian At Heart (pinks and neutral shades).

Along with this eyeshadow, a redressed Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara will also be released. Fun fact: Lily Collins uses this mascara.

The three lipsticks in this special collection are also covet-worthy with their chic red and nude shades. Want to channel Emily’s Parisian-inspired vibrant beauty looks?

Ahead, Emily In Paris makeup ideas we’re excited to recreate using pieces from the Lancôme x Emily In Paris collection.

For when you’re feeling dramatic: Emily’s opera look

Emily’s edgy but elegant opera makeup is certainly one of the most striking and bolder beauty looks from the show. It’s often described as inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s makeup in the 1957 musical rom-com Funny Face which coincidentally is about an unfashionable gal who became ingrained in the fashion world and had romantic adventures in Paris. Sounds familiar?

The similarity to Emily’s opera look is uncanny.

Recreate it: What’s great about this opera look is that it’s actually fairly easy to copy using the Lancôme x Emily In Paris collection. For recreating Emily’s eyeshadow makeup, the bold Paris A La Folie eyeshadows are the best picks. Start with applying the “Define” eyeshadow shade all over your lids. For depth, add “Smoke” to the crease. Then blend the hues together for a shimmery, splendid look. Glam it up even more with the Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing Mascara to give dramatic length to the lashes.

Finish off with the L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rouge Pigalle, the deepest red shade from this collection.

For when you’re back at the office: Emily’s first day look

Emily’s outfit on her first day at her brand new job in Paris may not have been popular among her officemates (that Eiffel tower blouse screams “tourist”) but her beauty look was actually quite nice and professional. If you’re looking for makeup ideas for when you’re back at your workplace, it’s the one to try.

Recreate it: The understated shades in the Born In France section of the eyeshadow palette are perfect for copying this subtle makeup look. First, lightly apply the matte eyeshadow “Define” on your lids. Once the base is finished, add a little more on the crease for extra definition. Want to level it up? Give your inner lids a touch of sparkle using the “Illuminate” shade.

For the lips, it’s best to keep it neutral and choose the L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick French Tea which has a nice nude-peach shade.

For when you’re in a romantic mood: Emily’s rosy look

Emily’s outfit in the opening of season one’s episode four A Kiss Is Just A Kiss is truly eye-catching. The stylish bubblegum pink coat paired with a dreamy multi-coloured shirt underneath signalled Emily’s quiet transition from being a clueless implant to becoming a true-blue elegant Parisian — while still staying true to her cheery, bright aesthetic. The same can be said for her makeup. In this look, she’s moved to experimenting with more romantic colours that are sophisticated but still very much vibrant.

Recreate it: For this look, turn to the eyeshadow shades from the Parisian At Heart segment of the palette. On your lids, apply the matte pink-mauve shade “Define” as your base. Then, add the brown shade of “Sculpt” to your crease. Make this look pop even more by highlighting the inner lid with “Illuminate”. Finish it off with a touch of “Highlight” on the brow bone and inner corner.

The L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick Attrape Coeur, with its bold red shade, is a good pick for your lips.

Already falling in love with the collection? You’d have to wait a little bit more before taking these home. As of now, there’s still no official date for when these goodies will be released in our region. Even the prices are yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for updates!
