BLACKPINK’s Lisa (real name Lalisa Manoban) is known for her killer dance moves, spunky rap verses, and immovable bangs. The Thai K-pop star is a dynamo on- and off-stage, capturing the attention and support of fans around the world. Last year, she was voted Starmometer’s Most Beautiful Woman in the World and named TC Candler Asia’s Most Beautiful Face in Asia. But even during her off-time, she’s not one to shy away from dressing and primping up. To celebrate her 23rd birthday, we've rounded up the various makeup looks she sports in her personal time.
Subtle cat-eye
Lisa’s arresting gaze is perfectly accentuated by a subtle cat-eye liner. Her eyes are always thinly lined with a brown or greyish-black eyeliner with a small flick to make her eyes more feline-looking. Sometimes it’s a defined wing, in other instances it’s smudged with an eyeshadow powder for a more natural look. There’s some tightlining involved here, too, since it makes her lashes look full and lush. She also lightly lines her lower waterline to further emphasise the feline eye look. You can do this by taking a gel or pencil eyeliner, apply a thin line close to your lashes, and extending it in a straight (not downwards) line a little past the outer corner of your eye. Coral pink lips
When it comes to lippies, Lisa prefers an MLBB (my lips but better) look, which she achieves by interchanging nude pinks and coral orange shades. As for the finish, she mostly sports mattes or demi-mattes but will also sometimes go for a subtle gloss. Since she’s the brand ambassador for Korean beauty brand Moonshot, she’s seen posting about their new lipsticks on Instagram — but it’s always within the nude pink or coral category. Cool-toned hair
Lisa is known for her explorative taste in hair colours. She’s gone through blonde, silver, and ash brown within the past several years. She keeps it low-maintenance by wearing it down in loose waves, with her infamous full fringe artfully tousled. She has since dyed her hair black but we’re sure she’ll be experimenting with other hair colours again soon!
Different shades of brown eyeshadow
In a guest appearance on popular Korean beauty TV show Get It Beauty, Lisa was revealed to be quite a makeup shopaholic. She actually owns the biggest makeup collection in her group. She has a mix of K-beauty and Western brands. For eyeshadow, she tends to gravitate towards brown hues to define her eyes. She’ll also add a hint of sparkly brown eyeshadow for a "Saturday Night Out" look, as described by BLACKPINK’s Rosé. You can do the same by taking a light brown eyeshadow or even your bronzer and lightly dust it all over your eyelids. Smooth glowing complexion
Despite her penchant for bolder eye looks, Lisa keeps her complexion very natural. Her skin looks very smooth, healthy, and glowing despite going for a matte skin finish. She also likes to add some light shading to the hallows of her cheeks and along her hairline to add some warmth to her skin. So if you're thinking of doing the same, go for a long-lasting dewy foundation or BB cushion for your base and a very light contour powder.
