Let there be light! Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay precinct, alongside South Beach, Millennia Walk, and Tanjong Pagar light up for Asia’s leading sustainable light festival, bringing together 17 amazing light art installations created by 25 artists from over 11 countries.

Our top picks from the festival? Arc Zero: Arc Nimbus by Studio James Tapscott which displays a ring of mist that is animated with water, air and light, and Iwagumi Air Scape by ENESS, an immersive urban garden that “embodies the allure of the Japanese art form of Iwagumi.”

Shop sustainable goods at this pop-up street market, which brings together 24 curated local brands, halal food trucks, workshops and experiences in the spirit of sustainability and community. This pet-friendly affair also houses three art installations by i Light Singapore 2024.

3. GastroBeats 2024 at Bayfront Event Space

Enjoy the best of food, fun and music at the third edition of the ‘The People’s Festival’. Held in conjunction with i Light Singapore 2024, visitors can look forward to tucking into traditional and modern cuisine from 50 homegrown food vendors as well as grooving to ‘live’ music performed by local acts. Don’t miss out on the entertainment booths too, including game stations by Uncle Ringo Entertainment and claw machines by iClaw Taiwan. This is also an outdoor, pet-friendly event.

5. Hands Japan Character Festival

Did someone mention “Sonny Angel”? Listen up ‘cause Japanese department store chain Hands Japan is organising a Character Festival for fans to purchase an assortment of new and popular character products — including the adorable Sonny Angel figurines — at all five stores. Fans of Sonny Angel are also invited to sign up for the Sonny Angel Workshop, where they will have the opportunity to paint and personalise their own Sonny Angel figurine with POSCA markers. The workshops will be held on selected days at HANDS’ Orchard Central, Suntec City and Paya Lebar stores.
