Received the sample pack of this Hada Labo KOUJI Treatment Essence. Always have a preference for products from Japan as I believe they are in the forefront of skincare. Similar to other Hada Labo products, product pack has a clean and minimalistic look. Product does not have a strong smell which is something i prefer. Does not like to have over-powering scented products on my face. The texture is gelish and thicker than watery kind. Smooths easily over my face and it gets absorbed very quickly. Does not leave a sticky feel on the face which is a plus for me, as it allows me to move on to the next skincare regime. My skin does not feel tight after use, and feels slightly smoother after use.

What caught my attention was the minimal packaging, simple but cute bottle design but the highlight is definitely the main ingredient called "KOUJI". It does smell like washed rice water with hint of sake that I'm liking! it gives almost similar result when I tried SK-II minus being overly drying. According to my gal pal, beauty products with alcohol tends to be drying but I haven't had issues with this one.
