With an engagement ring fit for a queen already worn, the next priority should be having the perfect wedding nails that will suit your gown and wedding ring. Most brides would choose a classic French tip. It is, after all, a timeless style. Then, there are some brides who would prefer to show off their personality by going with a bolder hue or design. Either way, it’s all about the bride’s preference. We talked to three Clozetters who shared the wedding nail designs they chose to have when they said "I do".
Pure white
Planning a wedding is quite hectic for a bride and Star Clozetter Maebel Chan (a.k.a. madamelindt) can attest to that. “Having my nails painted was one of the last things on my mind during wedding planning. I did not have an idea on what I really wanted but I just knew that it had to be white with a bit of nail art. Since my wedding gown is shiny and sparkly with intricate floral lace, I wanted my nails to have some of those elements too.”
It was during the last few fittings of her wedding gown with designer Elizabeth Hallie that she finally found the inspiration for the design of her wedding nails. “I noticed [Elizabeth’s] nails being on point. Given my curiosity, I had to ask her where she had it done and she told me it was her own creation too. It's her way of de-stressing and she was kind enough to say yes to me when I asked her if she is open to doing mine. Who would have thought that my designer would be my nail artist too?” They ended up with this white pearl gel polish with gem accents design. It’s simple yet elegant with a touch of sophistication — exactly what every bride wants to be on her wedding day.
Timeless sparkle
Timeless, classy, and elegant with a touch of bling. Star Clozetter Christabelle PQZ wanted her manicure to perfectly fit the theme of her fairytale wedding. “I wanted something that can match my gown and the overall theme of the wedding," she said. So she had her nail artist design this for her special day. It had a variety of sparkly details that catch the eye without being too over-the-top.
Henna and other embellishments
For brides who want to pay homage to their heritage, adding special details like Star Clozetter Isabelle Rosta’s (lovebellavida to the Community) will be an inspired choice. The henna art, made by henna artist Ameerah Sarpari, added a touching aspect to her wedding nails. Her bejewelled French manicure had blush pink nail polish most of her nails. The accent nail on her middle finger featured beautiful gems in gold and silver, mimicking the jewels you'd usually find on an engagement ring. “It's over-the-top but I remember how I felt when I looked at my manicure — like a bride-to-be excited to get married! Even as I look at it today, it makes me happy and takes me back to my special day in 2017.”
