For colourful characters: The KL Journal Hotel (Malaysia)

Posted by The KL Journal on Monday, 13 April 2020

The KL Journal Hotel exudes a fun, lively atmosphere with its neon signs, rooftop infinity pool and central location, which makes it perfect for couples who love being in the midst of all that the cosmopolitan city has to offer. This Instagram darling offers a slew of impressive room amenities as well, such as a JBL wireless Bluetooth speaker, a flat-screen HDTV (complete with Netflix!) and a high-pressure rain shower.

For classic charmers: The Barracks Hotel Sentosa (Singapore)

If bright lights and industrial interiors aren’t your cup of tea, why not opt for something a little more serene and classic instead? Check out The Barracks Hotel Sentosa, which is made for those who appreciate old-school luxury. Housed in a colonial building, this charming hotel only has 40 rooms and suites. Plus, selected rooms on the ground floor have direct access to their pool and Jacuzzi too. It’s an excellent heritage hideaway for those who value privacy, exclusivity and tranquillity.

For languorous lovers: Lloyd’s Inn (Singapore)

A minimalist’s dream come true, this 34-room boutique hotel features a monochromatic colour palette and a dipping pool that’s lined with lush tropical foliage. Wake up to complimentary breakfast at Artisan Boulangerie Co. and wash your worries away in the en-suite bathroom. With its cosy white beds and natural surroundings, this calming sanctuary is just what you need to disconnect from distractions and connect with your other half. (P.S. The hotel has also been featured in Louis Vuitton’s Singapore City Guide for three consecutive years.)

For romantic revellers: M Social (Singapore)

Nestled within the Robertson Quay along the Singapore River, this Philippe Starck-designed residence is minutes’ walk away from plenty of chic dining establishments such as Botany, Summerlong and Publico Ristorante. After a day full of merry-making, retreat to one of the boutique hotel’s 239 rooms for a restful night’s sleep and help yourself to its amenities, which include a Nespresso machine, an adjustable flat-screen television and bathrobes for you and your partner to lounge around in.

Lauded for its excellent service and facilities, the Peninsula Manila has an outdoor swimming pool, eight dining options to satisfy any foodie’s appetite and its very own Peninsula Spa if you and your beau wish to indulge in a little R&R. From January 2021 onwards, guests will be able to enjoy a newly extended and flexible schedule for check-in and check-out, according to a news release that was recently shared by the hotel.
