Ariana Grande marries Dalton Gomez
Joining the growing list of couples who got married during the pandemic, pop songstress Ariana Grande announced on social media that she got married to fiance Dalton Gomez during a private wedding last 15 May. The super-secret wedding was simple and minimalist. The bride wore a custom Vera Wang gown and short veil inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s dress in Funny Face (1957). The couple announced their engagement last December. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Maison Valentino delves into makeup
In case you missed it: luxury fashion house Maison Valentino is launching its first Valentino Beauty makeup collection. So far, reports say that the debut collection will feature 40 shades of foundation, a cushion foundation, a lipstick, a highlighter, a multi-use cream powder, an eyeshadow palette, a liquid eyeliner, an brow pencil, and a mascara — some of which will be refillable too. Designed by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, the collection is expected to include extravagant makeup picks dressed up in the signature Valentino Red. The entire collection will be unveiled on 31 May but it will be available for preorder on 15 June on valentino.com. Valentino Beauty will become available internationally come August 2021.
Tomohisa Yamashita is Dior’s Beauty Ambassador
Breaking away from its pattern of having solely female beauty ambassadors, Dior just appointed Japanese singer, actor, and TV host Tomohisa Yamashita as its new face. He will be promoting Dior’s range of makeup, skincare, and fragrances to the growing makeup- and skincare-interested male audience. “So excited to join Dior as their new beauty ambassador. Looking forward to the many things we are going to achieve together,” the J-pop entertainer shared in an Instagram post.
Glow Recipe launches its first clay mask
If you’re always eager to try new clay masks, you’ll be happy to know that Glow Recipe just launched its new Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial. FILA ties up with MGSM for tennis-inspired capsule collection
FILA’s new capsule collection with Italian fashion brand MSGM is all about channelling your inner tennis star. It includes halter neck tops, mini skirts and other stylishly sporty apparel in MSGM’s iconic tie-dye prints and marble motifs. Romantic lace and ruffles and the “YOU ARE MY MATCH POINT” mantra are also heavily featured in the designs. The collection is now available in Singapore exclusively at FILA’s Marina Bay Sands store and via the FILA WhatsApp Order Service (+65 8890 6106).
PANDORA captures summer in an ocean-inspired collection
Finally, PANDORA takes us to a beach getaway with its new ocean-inspired jewellery collection. Featuring deep blue hues inspired by the sea and colourful marine life within its depths, the collection includes two colourful new charms, a bracelet embodying sparkling ocean waves, and a pendant and earrings made of freshwater cultured pearls. The prices start at SGD49/~USD37 and the pieces are now available at all PANDORA stores and online at sg.pandora.net in Singapore.
