Rapper Tyler, The Creator Adds Nail Polish & Fragrance To Brand

A pastel-powered collection

We’re seeing an increasing number of male musicians — from Harry Styles and Machine Gun Kelly to Pharrell — making waves in the beauty industry with the launch of their own line of gender-neutral beauty products. On this note, Grammy-winning American rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator has expanded his GOLF Le FLEUR* brand to include three new nail polish shades and a fragrance too. Read on for all the details.

Priced at USD20 each, the nail polish collection currently offers three shades: Geneva Blue, Georgia Peach, and Glitter. It’s also available as a three-piece set for USD55. The pastel blue and orange hues are seen throughout the artiste’s collection of apparel, footwear and accessories too.

All three variants of nail polish feature a solid gloss finish and the brand’s patented FLEUR* bottle cap. Ingredients-wise, they are non-toxic and cruelty-free. Here’s hoping that the collection will offer more shades and finishes in the near future!

The fragrance is inspired by Tyler, the Creator's childhood summertime memories

When asked to describe his new fragrance French Waltz, Tyler the Creator revealed to WWD: “It’s just mirroring my life… Just relishing in an amazing moment where you feel free the freest, and it’s that moment you’re going to remember for the rest of your life.”

The musician also mentioned his memories of summertime as a kid and experiencing the exhaustion and heat from getting out of a pool. He also cited the feeling of “being on tour, the sense of adventure, riding bikes while in the middle of nowhere.”

The rose-musk fragrance is available in three sizes: 10ML, 50ML and 100ML, with prices ranging between USD40 and USD200. It contains top notes of mandarin, nashi pear, lychee and magnolia; heart notes of mimosa, jasmine, rose and muguet, and base notes of musk and sandalwood.

The fragrance’s packaging is a definite keeper as well. The mint-coloured bottle cap is modelled after a flower and the bottle is housed in a trophy-style vertical display box with a ribbon pull.

Tyler, the Creator hosted a pop-up store in Malibu, California to celebrate the launch of the newly expanded beauty range. The pop-up was visited  by musicians including Jay-Z, Jayden Smith and Kanye West. (golflefleur.com)

Where to buy

The products are sold online on golflefleur.com. However, they currently only ship within the United States. That said, the brand has plans to offer international shipping in “early 2022” so we’ll have to wait for their good news.
