Feel like a kid in a candy store with the shu uemura x peko collection which is launching in Singapore soon!
After the launch of its Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal collection last year, Japanese beauty brand shu uemura is once again taking inspiration from a beloved childhood character and giving us all the nostalgic feels.

Peko or Peko-chan is the mascot of Japan’s Milky candies which first came out in the 1950s. She’s known as the forever six-year-old with a passion for candies and is iconic for her cheeky smile.
In the new shu uemura x peko collection, you’ll find makeup pieces fuelled by fresh, Y2K-inspired candy colours, syrupy textures, and a milky fragrance.
For the eyes, the collection has palettes which come in silver cases inspired by candy tins and colours curated for versatile looks. You can choose from either the raspberry lollipop eye palette (SGD95) which comes with purple, pink, peach, and brown hues or the lemon fizz eye palette (SGD95) which comes with green, yellow, orange, and brown hues.
For lips, the collection boasts lipsticks with silky, syrupy textures with its rouge unlimited kinu satin (SGD53) which comes in two shades with sweet names — peach taffy (beige) and watermelon gum (pink-red). On the other hand, if you’re more of a fan of liquid lipsticks, check out its rouge unlimited kinu cream (SGD50) which comes in shades called orange gumballs (muted orange), cinnamon whip (warm brown), and OR 599 nectarine drops (muted red-orange).
For Peko-inspired cheeks, the collection offers the face color (SGD62) which comes in two shades — M milky caramel (caramel beige with a matte texture) and P strawberry parfait (pink).
Other pieces in the collection include the petal 55 foundation brush (SGD89), the hard formula brow pencil (SGD40), and the ultime8 sublime cleansing oil (SGD175). Each comes with limited-edition Peko-inspired designs.
