The new Etude House X Hershey's collab is making us crave! This novelty collection includes eyeshadow palettes inspired by the iconic Hershey's bars, lip tints and some brushes. Ladies, isn't this the perfect Valentine's Day gift for your best pals?
It's not the first time Etude House indulged us with a food-inspired line. Last year, the South Korean cosmetics brand released a collaboration with Kitkat just in time for Valentine's Day. As expected, it was a hit! So we're having no doubts that this latest serving of dessert-like makeup will be a bestseller as well. Truthfully, if we have all the money and storage space in the world we'll hoard all items in this collection. But let's be real here, we still have a ton of unused stuff on our makeup drawers. Only the cream of the crop from this line will make it to our checkout cart. Ahead, our picks from the Etude House X Hershey's collab.
For the lippie lover: Powder Rouge Tints in Almond Choco
There are two tint "flavours" for this collection: Almond Choco (a rosy-red shade) and Hazelnut Choco (a light, mauve-brown shade). Of the two, our team's pick is the Powder Rouge Tint Almond Choco. "It's a perfect, unique mix of a nude and red lip, I think I just found my next favourite when going for a versatile daily look," says Senior Features Writer Amanda.
A versatile palette: Play Color Eyes Mini in Hershey Cookies 'N' Creme
Both palettes in the Etude House X Hershey's collab are awesome so it was a tough choice, but ultimately the Cookies 'N' Creme variant won our hearts. With all its soft beige and tangerine-coral shades and pretty shimmers, you can do various everyday makeup looks. "The palette looks so yummy I could almost eat it! It also features a good variety of nude shades so it's very practical and can easily be worn every day," says our Fashion Features Writer Sheryl.
Although we really love the novel packaging, we're a bit torn about the use of excess wrap (foil) to mimic the effect of opening a chocolate bar. It's so cute, but at the same time, it's quite unnecessary and not so great for the environment. What's your take?
For the makeup collector: Cookies 'N' Creme Brush
Already have too much makeup but still wants to get a piece from this cutesy collection? Go for the brushes! Each piece is inspired by the two iconic chocolate flavours of Hershey's: Creamy Milk Chocolate Brush and Cookies 'N' Creme Brush. If we have to pick just one, we'd choose the Cookies 'N' Creme Brush. "The illusion of texturised design is unlike any other. It stands out from all of my other makeup brushes," says Features Writer Em.
