BLACKPINK drops trailer for their 5th anniversary movie 4+1



In celebration of BLACKPINK’s fifth anniversary, the group finally released the trailer for their documentary film 4+1. The title represents the four members of the group — Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose — as well as their fanbase called BLINKs signifying the ‘+1’. The one minute and 14 seconds-long teaser shows footage from the group’s predebut up to the present. It will be screened in South Korea this August, with worldwide screenings to be announced soon.

Nike collabs with four fashion labels to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics




Nike joins the array of brands showing support for Tokyo Olympics 2021 with four different sports-themed collaborations. There are separate collections with Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE and Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER, which will comprise a wide range of apparel, from head accessories to shoes. Then there are also two different collections of jackets and other outerwear with sacai’s Chitose Abe and AMBUSH’s Yoon Ahn. The completed collections and respective release dates will be listed on Nike’s official website.


Kate Moss is the new face of SKIMS



English supermodel Kate Moss was recently named SKIMS’s newest face. Photos of Kate looking stunning in pieces from the Kim Kardashian-led brand have been released on social media this week. Kim described Kate as “THE fashion icon” while the campaign’s creative director said “she’s a force in her own right with such a strong presence” thus being the perfect choice as the brand’s latest ambassador. We can’t wait to see more of Kate in SKIMS!

Kim Soo-Hyun is Bench’s latest endorser




Philippine fast-fashion brand Bench welcomes Kim Soo-Hyun as its latest endorser. The It’s Okay Not To Be Okay star joins Hyun Bin and Byeon Woo Seok as the brand’s global trendsetters. Following the announcement, Bench released a new apparel collection featuring the pieces Kim Soo-Hyun is wearing in his campaign.


Colourpop launches Powerpuff Girls makeup collection



Colourpop takes us on the nostalgia train once again as they release their latest makeup collection: Colourpop x Powerpuff Girls. The collection includes an eyeshadow palette, lip glosses and masks, multi-sticks, blushes, and — in true 90s fashion — plastic barrettes. The collection is dressed in Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup’s signature colours, as well as other complementary shades that scream ‘buy me’.

Mattel releases Naomi Osaka Barbie doll



Joining Barbie’s role model series this year is Japanese professional tennis player Naomi Osaka. The project immortalises empowering female figures in various fields as their own Barbie dolls, following the tagline “You Can Be Anything.” With this, Naomi shared on Instagram that she hopes her doll inspires another child to pursue their dream just like she did hers. The doll dons Naomi’s 2020 Australian Open outfit.
