Women Take The Lead In The New Trailer For ‘Wakanda Forever’

We can’t wait to see them rise to the occasion

Our hearts once again ached as we remembered the late beloved and award-winning actor, Chadwick Boseman because Marvel Cinematic Universe just dropped the first full trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which will premiere this November.

While King T’Challa will no longer return, we will get to see these characters back on the big screen — Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba). They will strive to unite and fight to protect their nation and their wealthy supply of vibranium from intervening world powers. And with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), they forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.

Black Panther Wakanda Forever (2022): trailer and release date

The trailer shows how the Wakandans solemnly grieve and try to come to terms with the death of their king. Without their protector, they are at a vulnerable period in their history, and threats loom on the horizon. But a shot was also shown of someone donning the Black Panther costume, which leaves us wondering who that might be and wishing that it will be one of the female characters.

Other new characters who will be making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut will be Namor the Submariner (Tenoch Huerta), who rules over the underwater kingdom of Talocan, and Riri Williams a.k.a Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), a genius inventor teen who is also getting her own Disney Plus show in 2023

Ryan Coogler, who directed the first Black Panther film, will also be directing this sequel. On its official Instagram account, Marvel Singapore announced that this much-awaited film will be released this 10 November, a day ahead of its US release. We truly hope that it will be a film that will make the late king proud.
