First impressions of Artyzen Singapore:

sophisticated design and a warm reception

Artyzen Singapore is located along Cuscaden Road.

Artyzen may be nestled within the bustling Orchard Road precinct, but it’s proving to be a calming and chic respite with its contemporary Asian design and lush greenery. Boasting 142 rooms and suites, this five-star accommodation was once a mansion that belonged to the great-grandson of Singaporean philanthropist Mr Tan Tock Seng.

Artyzen Hotel Singapore Review: Interior, Exterior, Location

Artyzen Singapore is a visual treat for the senses with its sky-high ceilings, contemporary Asian design influences and lush greenery.

“I was impressed by the hotel’s reception area and restaurant as they seamlessly integrated nature into the design. However, what stood out the most to me was the staff’s warm hospitality. Some of the staff even addressed Ollie by her name too, which was a lovely touch,” shared Angela.

Terrace Suite amenities:

a private sky garden, spacious living areas & more

Artyzen Hotel Singapore: Terrace Suite with a pet

Angela lounges in the Terrace Suite with her 2-year-old Australian Shepherd Ollie.

Angela, her husband, and her dog Ollie checked themselves into the Terrace Suite for two nights. The 88-square-metre space felt welcoming and delightful with its high-ceiling design and designated areas for guests to dine, rest and relax. Angela’s favourite features of the suite include the deep-soaking bathtub and separate rain shower, which are complemented by a double sink. She also loved having the option to indulge in a delicious cuppa at her convenience — thanks to the Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary coffee bags from Bacha Coffee.

The Artyzen Terrace Suite comes with a spacious, 90-square-metre private sky garden.

However, what captivated Angela the most was the private sky garden. Spanning 90 square metres, the serene space offers guests a breathtaking view of the city. It also gave Angela’s medium-sized pup Ollie plenty of room to run and explore. The garden has a daybed for easy lounging and a dining area for spontaneous al fresco gourmet experiences.

Other noteworthy features of the Terrace Suite include a king-sized bed, high-speed WiFi, a 65-inch LED television with international TV channels, a B&O wireless Bluetooth speaker, a Dyson hairdryer, and an in-room safe. The Terrace Suite is also the second largest accommodation available at Artyzen, after the Penthouse.

What’s included in the Artyzen Fur-tastic Getaway package?

The ‘Fur-tastic Getaway’ package by Artyzen comes with several perks, including a welcome amenity set for your pup.

The Artyzen Fur-tastic Getaway package allows paw-rents to choose from two accommodation options: the Premier Balcony or the Terrace Suite. This pet-friendly package comes with several perks, such as an SGD100 nett dining credit that’s redeemable at any dining outlet in the hotel, a cosy dog bed, a water bowl, and a doggy welcome amenity set comprising wet wipes, freeze-dried meal toppers, a poop bag and a toy. It also covers the hotel’s pet cleaning fees and daily breakfast for two persons at the hotel’s Café Quenino. The cafe’s outdoor area is pet-friendly as well.

Lifestyle experiences and dining options at Artyzen Singapore: which ones stood out to us?

Cafè Quenino at Artyzen Hotel Singapore: Al fresco breakfast

Angela’s ‘al fresco’ brekkie situation at Cafè Quenino.

Beyond enjoying the hotel’s in-room amenities, it’s also worth looking at the complementary experiences available for an enjoyable, pet-friendly stay. From tucking into fusion cuisine to taking a dip in the hotel’s infinity pool, these were the key highlights of Angela’s stay.

Superb Southeast Asian-Portuguese cuisine at Cafè Quenino

Angela and her family had their meals at Artyzen’s Cafè Quenino, which resembles a garden oasis with rich greenery, elongated ceilings and artful displays. “I appreciated the thoughtful feature of a bowl of ice water for Ollie so that she could feel comfortable while we enjoyed our meals in a beautiful setting,” shared Angela.

The café’s à la carte breakfast menu provides a generous selection of international and local Southeast Asian fusion dishes. Angela’s favourites include the soto ayam-style macaroni soup, the chilli crab omelette, and the Indo-spiced chicken broth, which she described as, “simply divine”.

Café Quenino at Artyzen Hotel Singapore: Dinner Menu and Drinks

Café Quenino serves up delicious dinner and drinks as well.

In the evening, the café is transformed into a cocktail bar offering seafood and Asian fusion dishes. Angela found herself in gourmet paradise after tasting the grilled Hervey bay scallops, the Asian fusion scallop otak dumplings and the char siu glazed pork belly.

From tantalising dishes to refreshing tipples, the café also has an extensive wine and cocktail menu, where each drink is categorised based on its flavour profile — floral, fruity, herbal, and spice — and has its signature blend inspired by Singaporean flavours.

Artyzen Hotel Singapore: Infinity Pool with Views

Artyzen Singapore boasts an infinity pool with views of the Botanic Gardens.

Relaxing gemstone massage, infinity pool with scenic views

Angela found the hotel’s gemstone massage experience to be “particularly noteworthy and relaxing”. Guests have the option to choose from four signature aromatherapy blends as well. Being able to experience the hotel’s rooftop infinity pool was one of the highlights of Angela’s stay too as it offers breathtaking views of the Botanic Gardens and Malaysia in the distance.

“While we thoroughly enjoyed these activities, it was unfortunate that pets are to be kept in the room with company, “ shared Angela. Travelling as a group of three meant that either Angela or her husband had to remain in the Terrace Suite with their dog Ollie.

Overall verdict of Artyzen Singapore

Standout Feature at Artyzen Hotel Singapore: Terrace Suite

The private sky garden is one of the best features of Artyzen’s Terrace Suite.

Considering various factors including the hotel’s room price, cleanliness, aesthetics, pet-friendly features and hospitality standards, Angela would rate her experience at Artyzen 4 out of 5 stars. She was most impressed with the hotel’s stylish, contemporary design, the clean and hygienic environment, and the sheer spaciousness of the Terrace Suite.

That said, Angela wished that the staff at Cafe Quenino could be more attentive towards guests seated in the outdoor area. She found herself having to wait a while before being attended to. Additionally, there was no ambient music being played in the outdoor area. She observed that diners seated nearby could easily overhear her conversations and vice versa, resulting in moments of awkwardness and a lack of privacy.

Review of Artyzen Hotel Singapore's Fur-Tastic Getaway Package

Im-’paw’-ssibly chic: Angela and her pup had a comfortable stay at Artyzen Singapore.

Even then, she found her staycation at Artyzen Singapore to be incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Having Ollie by her side was the sweet cherry on top for her too.

If you’d like to check into Artyzen Singapore and experience the Fur-tastic Getaway with your pup, prices start at SGD740++ for a night’s stay at the Premier Balcony, and SGD1,748++ for the Terrace Suite. This is a pretty price to pay, however, this may be worth the splurge for special occasions. After all, Artyzen is a centrally-located, five-star hospitality destination that offers striking architectural elements, expansive greenery, an infinity pool, decent dining fare, and luxurious in-room facilities.

Artyzen Singapore is located at 9 Cuscaden Road, S 249719. Key spots within the Orchard Road precinct, such as Tanglin Mall, Forum The Shopping Mall, and the Orchard Boulevard MRT station are within walking distance. Learn more about the Fur-tastic Getaway package here.
