Highlights of Airbnb’s list of top travel destinations

1. Indianapolis, Indiana tops the list

If you’re an avid stargazer or science enthusiast, then you wouldn’t want to miss travelling to Indianapolis, Indiana in the US in 2024. The total solar eclipse is set to grace the skies on 8 April 2024 — which happens once every 360 to 410 years — and Indianapolis makes an ideal spot to witness the phenomenon. NASA has also designated this city as one of the three official viewing sites, and widespread celebrations will take place during that particular season.

2. Japan scores three spots

According to Airbnb’s study, searches for Japan increased by over three times compared to the previous year. The three cities which were featured are Osaka (third place), Kyoto (fourth place), and Tokyo (sixteenth place). The country is widely known and loved for its perfect blend of modernity and culture and countless natural wonders.

3. Italy also appears three times
